Fox Hunting and Blessing of the Hounds at Stone House Farm. We will also be honoring Mike Smith after the hunt. Mike started riding with John Ketterer’s private pack in the 1970’s and has been a member ever since. He served as Field Master for years on Gus, another horse was Nantucket Sleigh Ride, and we’ll have to ask him about his other horses. The club was first recognized as a live hunt in 1983 and continues as the only live hunt in Northern New England. We’ve invited former members to join us and hope all our members can come hunting on this day.
See fixture directions for instructions on how to get there.
Pot luck breakfast to follow; please bring food and drink to share if you're staying for the pot luck.
We welcome all riders to join us at Fox Hunting; you do not need previous hunting experience. Please reach out to us if you think you don't have everything you need to fox hunt as we are flexible on attire and tack. We offer a first and second field and jumping is optional in both. We do not hunt to kill and follow scent for a fun ride.
